What is Lumina Engine?
Lumina Engine is a privacy-first execution interface built on Miden's zkVM. The beta focuses on private-intent foundations: creating encrypted intents (including RFQ-style flows), exchanging private notes, and tracking lifecycle events without broadcasting everything to a public orderbook.
Is this mainnet?
No. This beta runs on the Miden testnet. Test assets are for testing and generally have no real-world value.
What can I do in the beta?
Depending on what's enabled in your build, you can typically:
- connect a Miden wallet (or create a local account),
- create private intents (swap/limit-style or RFQ-style intents),
- receive/respond to intents and see status updates,
- make private transfers,
- claim test tokens (where available),
- view an activity log.
What is a "private intent"?
A private intent is an order or action definition (asset, size, constraints, expiry) that is created in a way designed to reduce public information leakage. In this beta, intents can be represented as encrypted Miden notes and consumed/settled without a public orderbook broadcast.
Who can see my order or payment?
It depends:
- External observers: The goal is to keep intent details off public rails in supported flows.
- Counterparties: A counterparty you interact with may see the details needed to respond/settle.
- Lumina operators (beta): This beta includes internal monitoring tools, and authorized operators may have visibility into certain trading/transfer lifecycle data for debugging and support.
Does Lumina have access to my private keys?
Lumina is designed to be non-custodial. The app does not ask for your seed phrase. If you create a local account in the app, key material is intended to remain on your device. You are responsible for backups and device security.
Why does privacy sometimes become "partial"?
If you interact with a recipient or counterparty outside Miden/Lumina accounts, you may lose end-to-end privacy protections on the "external" side. Some flows are only fully private when both sides are using compatible privacy rails.
Are trades guaranteed to execute?
No. Execution depends on counterparties, network conditions, and the beta infrastructure. The Service is experimental.
Is the beta audited?
Assume no unless explicitly stated otherwise. Treat this as experimental software.
Are the prices and charts real?
They may be indicative, delayed, simulated, or sourced from third parties. Do not rely on them for financial decisions.
What happens if I lose my local wallet backup?
You may lose access permanently. Lumina cannot recover your keys for you.
Can I delete my data?
You can request deletion of off-chain support data (where feasible). On-chain/testnet data may be immutable or not practically deletable.
Where can I see my activity?
If enabled, the beta includes an Activity view that shows your private actions (e.g., intent creation, responses, settlement status) without revealing unnecessary counterparty details.
